Monthly HOA Board Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT

• Revisited a few topics from last meeting.
• Booked the Bounce House and Water Slide for the Annual Picnic (August 22).
• Contacted Kona Man for the Slow Roll and Picnic – waiting for confirmation (July 18).
• Still trying to contact Charlie for power washing both playscapes.
• Entry Island Cleanup (pruning rose bushes and replanting dead ones at each end) and tree trimming in South Park – June 15th at 7:00 PM.
• Gathering quotes for the new Barchester Entry Island neighborhood sign.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT

• No word yet on the Lowe’s Grant applied for on March 20.
• Will continue to look for more community grants to help with revamping, adding to, or improving the playscapes in North and South Parks.

SECRETARY’S REPORT

No report.

TREASURER’S REPORT

BY-LAWS REPORT

No report.

BEAUTIFICATION REPORT

• Will apply non-toxic weed killer in the playscape areas soon.
• South Park and Barchester Entry Island Clean-Up: Entry Island Cleanup (pruning rose bushes and replanting dead ones at each end) and tree trimming in South Park – June 15th at 7:00 PM.
• Gathering quotes for the new Barchester Entry Island neighborhood sign.
• Extend South Park poop bag pick-up and dumping until May (until mowing starts).

WELCOMING REPORT

• No new home sales.

SOCIAL MEDIA / WEBSITE REPORT

• Will email blast and post info about Hood Cleanup and a reminder about RV, poop bag disposal, and Camper Storage Rules.

MEMBER AT LARGE REPORT

• Mosquito/Flea/Tick spraying, prevention, and control in both parks (will gather 3 quotes).

NEW BUSINESS

• Continued search for potential Community Improvement Grants.
• Collection of dues.
• Look into stop signs with flashing red lights for Hanford Road (Township or Wayne County?). Solar Flashing LED Retrofit Kits for Stop Signs are available online ranging from $699 to $1,599.

OLD BUSINESS

• Began reviewing and budgeting for the Future Projects/Events/Ideas list.
• Bat Houses & Blue Bird Houses installed in both parks.
• Spring Project: New Barchester Entry Sign (beginning to rot). Will gather current quotes, review old designs from a few years ago, and replace the rose bushes at the ends of the entry island.
• Clean up, paint metal, or power wash the playscapes (need to clean up). Date and volunteers to be determined.
• Continue saving for new playscapes in both North and South Parks.
• Sign Toppers.

The meeting adjourned at 7:40 PM.
