Monthly HOA Board Meeting Minutes
June 29, 2026

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
- Revisited a few topics from last meeting.
- Our neighborhood was selected for monthly Food Truck visits (Tuesday or Wednesday evenings). Board approved the application and will submit this week. We are obligated to post and blast the dates and times as much as possible.
- Kona Man is not available for the Annual Picnic. Brainstorming alternatives – Dan is checking if any other Kona truck is available, or options such as a snow cone machine, ice cream truck/cart, popsicles, or ice cream cups.
- Gathering quotes and ideas for the new Barchester Entry Island neighborhood sign.
- Sent Dave the “Summer Events” Flyer to post and blast.
- May HOA Meeting Minutes were approved; Dave will post on the website.
- Will perform annual maintenance on both Tiny Libraries before Fall (reseal, stain, clean-out, and total restock).
- Posted and blasted information about Recreational Vehicles/RVs/Campers in driveways and on the street, plus Dog Owner Expectations.
VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT
- Lowe’s Grant applied for on March 20 – should announce at the end of the summer.
- Idea to purchase “Slow Down” Signs (12-pack for $14.99 on Amazon) and have some available at the picnic, especially for high-speed areas.
- Idea of creating a fundraiser flyer for local businesses to support park improvements (plaque or sign recognition on volleyball poles, in the pavilion, or on the backstop).
- Received tax ID number, but still needs the 501(c) number.
SECRETARY’S REPORT
No report.
TREASURER’S REPORT
- Still 6 houses outstanding for dues (dues have doubled). Letters will be attached to doors; next step is Lien Letters.
- Will seek out a new lawyer to help with the Lien Letters.

BY-LAWS REPORT
No report.
BEAUTIFICATION REPORT
- Swifty sprayed weed killer in all playscape areas on June 29; posting went out on Facebook.
- Seal Coat for South Park Path will need to be redone in 2–3 years according to the invoice of completed path work.
- Need to replace the Pear Tree by the North Park Tiny Library and replace rose bushes at the ends of the entry island – need prices.
- Repaired sprinklers on the main entry island.
WELCOMING REPORT
- Welcomed 6748 Brookshire Drive on June 29.
- Need to welcome 42088 Greenwood – closed on June 29.
SOCIAL MEDIA / WEBSITE REPORT
- Updated “Rules” for the Facebook page.
- Idea for a GoFundMe page for our neighborhood for new playscapes, backstop, etc.
MEMBER AT LARGE REPORT
No report.
NEW BUSINESS
- Continued search for potential Community Improvement Grants.
- Collection of dues from the last 6 houses.
- Continued ideas to prevent speeding:
- Solar Flashing LED Retrofit Kits for Stop Signs available online ranging from $699 to $1,599.
- Post and blast the Canton Traffic Survey for a 3rd time.
- Purchase “Slow Down” Signs available on Amazon ($14.99 for 12).
- Bat Houses – 2 for each park (Houses range from $36–$120; higher-end are made from recycled plastic lumber. Poles range from $60–$120. Quikrete ~$10).
- Sign Toppers on main intersections – need prices.
OLD BUSINESS
- Began reviewing and budgeting for the Future Projects/Events/Ideas list.
- Blue Bird Houses installed in both parks.
- Spring Project: New Barchester Entry Sign (beginning to rot) and small sign on Hanford where the neighborhood starts. Will gather current quotes and review old quotes/designs from a few years ago.
- Clean up, paint metal, or power wash the playscapes (need to clean up). Date and volunteers to be determined.
- Continue saving for new playscapes in both North and South Parks.
The meeting adjourned at 8:20 PM.
Next Meeting: Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 7:00 PM at North Park Pavilion (weather permitting).
