Beautification:
- Stacey installed and filled the dog waste bag dispensers at both tiny libraries. A post was shared on Facebook reminding residents to clean up after their dogs.
- Update on the installation of a memorial tree and bench (by Kristle Cortes, in memory of Gwen Kilijanczyk):
- Canton Township is unable to install the bench and tree in the north park because it is considered private property, not township property. Kristle is now working with Davey Tree to have the tree installed, along with a plaque.
- Park repair updates:
- The bucket swing in the south park playscape needs to be replaced. Stacey found an option for $39.95.
- Stacey also researched options to replace the broken cargo net in the north park playscape. The board agreed that it would be important to replace this before the annual picnic in the park. A sturdier net will be approximately $80.
- A motion was made and seconded to purchase and install both items. The motion passed unanimously.
- Stacey has several bags of flower seeds (annuals). She suggested tilling up some areas around the tiny libraries to plant wildflowers around the libraries and benches. Board members were supportive of this idea.
- The lights in the north park pavilion need to be repaired.
Welcoming:
- One house that recently sold on Greenwood had not received a welcome package, as the residents have not moved in yet. There are no other outstanding homes awaiting a welcome package.
- Kelly Estrada has volunteered to take over this position beginning at the August meeting.
